Tedashii Suffers Brutal Injuries: Orlando, FL

Written by on April 14, 2022

Tedashii was set to come out with all of the artists on Reach Records for the final portion of the Unashamed Concert in Orlando, FL last night.

He took a fall while attempting to get on stage that lacerated his face. The artist posted about it:

God has given me what I needed in this season. Support, perspective, and most importantly protection. The support from every single one of you during each tour stop has made the WE ARE UNASHAMED movement truly a representation of God’s love through you all showing up and showing out. Orlando, the love was so real!

With all that said, my sincerest apologies for everyone at the final show. I was not able to celebrate and perform during the final set.

That night ended way different for me! Instead, as I was getting ready to go on stage for the group set, maneuvering in the dark, I had a terrifying accident as everyone else was coming on stage. I fell into the metal pole that holds up the screen and the base of that pole that sits on the floor. I went head first into the metal piping causing a concussion and face first into the base lacerating in two places.

Thank God for the amazing tour and production management that were on the scene helping me off stage. They were tending to my wounds, and doing what they could to keep me calm. There were several moments after the accident that I wanted to put my head down or even pass out but they would not let me. Because of them I believe I am actually coherent and here today in my right mind.

So today, I am home, but still in some pain with tons of swelling and soreness. My knees are still hurting and there are times that I try to stand but have to do so gingerly. I go through emotions of sadness, anger, grief, and joy because it could’ve been a lot worse.

We still here!
As I and we all recover from tour please pray for my healing, mental, emotional, and spiritual health as I fight for my physical health. Thank you for taking the time to read this and God bless.

Still unashamed,

TDOT
